Reports about the death of one of the most prominent Egyptian stars, actor Mahmoud Yassin circulated over the past 24 hours.
Head of the Actors' Syndicate, actor Ashraf Zaki denied in press remarks the circulated news, stating that the news is baseless.
In 2019, Amr Mahmoud Yassin, scriptwriter, and son of prominent actor posted on his “Facebook” account a picture of his son with the prominent legend.
The-79-year old looked much older in the picture, making his fans wish him good health and longevity.
This is considered Yassin’s latest public appearance, after a long absence.
It is worth mentioning that Mahmoud Fouad Yassin, known as Mahmoud Yassin, is an Egyptian actor. He was born on February 19, 1941, in Portsaid, and graduated from the faculty of law in 1964.
Yassin joined the National Theatre one year before graduation, where he was the narrator in a number of plays such as “Solaimaan al-Halaby”,“Al-Zeer Saalem”, and “Daaerat al-tabasheer al Kokaazeya”.
He also played lead roles in “Laylat masra’ Guevara" (The night Guevara was killed). “Watany Akka" (Akka.. My Nation”,“Laila wal-magnoun" (Laila and her fool), "Al-zeyaara entahet" (Visit is over),“Ahlan ya Bakawaat" (Hello Sires) and “Al-Khedeiwy" (The Kepe).
Yassin became in 70's one of the most popular romantic film stars, starring in many films such as “Al Khayt El Rafia" (The Think Line), “Hob wa Kibriya'” (Love and Pride), and “Al Rosasa La Tazal Fi Gayby” (The Bullet is Still in my Pocket).
He formed a starring duo with actress Naglaa' Fathi, making a lot of highly successful romantic dramas.
In the nineties, Yassin shifted his career to television, starring in series like “Abu hanifa Al Noa'man” “Did el Tayyar” (Against the Current), and “Souq El A'sr” (Afternoon Market).
