Trump's Senior Advisor Affirms Egypt’s Vital Role as a Key US Strategic Partner

​Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States for Arab and African Affairs, stated: "I am honored to visit Egypt and renew communication and engagement with President El-Sisi."

​Writing on the X platform, Boulos said: "I had the honor of meeting Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo today. I conveyed President Trump’s appreciation for the vital role Egypt plays as an ally and partner to the United States, and as a contributor to regional stability."

​He added: "We affirmed the alignment between the United States and Egypt regarding Sudan, within the framework of our efforts to address the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, including seeking a humanitarian truce and a comprehensive peace plan agreed upon by all parties. Regarding Libya, we emphasized that the United States and Egypt will continue to support the Libyan people in their steps toward building unified institutions and working toward elections, facilitated by the United Nations mission. We also stressed the importance of enhancing economic and trade relations between the United States and Egypt."

​Boulos further confirmed President El-Sisi's welcome of the ceasefire in Lebanon and President Trump's efforts to achieve a lasting peace, reiterating: "I am honored to visit Egypt and renew contact with President El-Sisi."
