The US President Donald Trump's peace process plan, widely known as “the deal of the century” would include a two-state solution, establishing the Palestinian state alongside the Israeli one, according to Al-Arabiya News Website.
The deal will also maintain the current status quo of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem under the supervision of Jordan.
It is worth mentioning that, Trump is set to reveal the details of the plan today at 17:00 pm GMT, 7:00 pm Cairo Local Time (CLT), amidst a great Palestinian condemnation.
They have already rejected Trump's deal, saying they were not consulted during the process and accusing the Trump administration of being pro-Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his electoral rival Benny Gantz are currently in Washington for talks with the US president ahead of the upcoming rerun of Israeli elections.
Before his meeting with Trump, Netanyahu considered Trump to be “the best friend Israel has had” so far.
Moreover, Gantz said on Tuesday that he would implement the plan if elected.
Since Trump came to office in 2016, the US has made significant moves in favor of the Israelis, noticeably moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing the occupied Golan Heights as Israeli territory, contrary to international law.
