Few minutes after US Congress certified President-Elect Joe Biden's election victory, US outgoing President Donald Trump vowed an 'orderly transfer of power' on January 20.
In a statement posted by his social media director Dan Scavino, Trump said, "Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless, there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.
“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again," he added.

US Congress certified President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ election victory.
Biden and Harris finished with 306 electoral votes, while Trump and Pence had 232.
The US lawmakers resumed on Thursday the count of electoral votes in a joint session, hours after Trump supporters stormed the capitol building in a riot that resulted in the death of four people.
On Wednesday, supporters of Donald Trump stormed a congressional session held to endorse Joe Biden’s victory, as a last-minute desperate attempt by Trump to reverse his election loss led to chaos and accusations of an attempted “coup.”
Officials at the U.S. Capitol building announced the closure, and lawmakers said on Twitter that they were sheltering in their offices, as protesters – some of them carrying Trump flags – were seen walking through the building.
