In his first comments after being charged with 34 counts, former US President Donald Trump said he "never thought anything like this could happen in America".
Trump added, "The only crime I have committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who would seek to destroy it."
He considered that the United States was "going to hell," noting that even people "who are not his fans" said that this should not happen.
He also expressed his believes that the current US President, Joe Biden, "will lead us to a third world war (WWIII).
Trump pointed out that what he faces is "election interference," noting that the "local racist local prosecutor in Atlanta" is trying to "do everything in his power" to charge him.
And he added, "This fraudulent case was brought only to interfere in the upcoming 2024 elections, and it must be dropped immediately."
