Trump: Upcoming US Presidential Elections to Face Chaos

US President Donald J. Trump predicted that Americans would not know the winner of the presidential election in November several months later, due to disputes over mailing ballots.

Speaking at a rally in Virginia, Trump said he would rather know whether he won or lost quickly, rather than waiting for the polls, adding that he likes watching TV and knowing who wins. But this won't be easy for months because this is a mess.

Trump claimed that US citizens will not hear a winner that night.

The US president expressed, on Wednesday, his belief that the matter will end with the 2020 presidential elections, before the Supreme Court, warning that he believes this is the reason for the importance of having nine judges for the court.

Speaking at the White House, Trump said Senator Lindsey Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, would not even have to hold a hearing for the Supreme Court nominee and that the process would proceed quickly.

This follows the death of a liberal court judge, Ruth Bader, Ginsburg, on Friday.

The president had said on September 19 that he might choose a candidate for the vacant seat on the Supreme Court after the death of the well-known judge, Bader Ginsburg, who confirmed that this position could be assumed by a woman.

He made it clear at the time that "the procedures are proceeding quickly as he hopes that the judge will be chosen soon, perhaps that will take place next week."

Court rulings this month allowed officials in states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and North Carolina to count ballots that arrive after November 3 as long as they are sent on Election Day.

Election experts said it could take several days after the polls before the winner is known because officials will need time to sort out the ballots that arrive after Election Day.

Opinion polls show that more Democrats than Republicans are planning to vote by mail to avoid contracting COVID-19 in crowded polling places. The Trump campaign has filed lawsuits in several states to limit mail-in voting.

Trump has refused to pledge a peaceful transfer of power in the United States of America (USA) if he loses the November 3 election to his Democratic rival Joe Biden.

We'll see what happens," Trump, a Republican, told reporters at the White House on Thursday when was asked whether he would stick to a peaceful transfer of power.

The president has repeatedly sought to question the legitimacy of the election due to his concerns about the mail vote that Democrats had encouraged during the Coronavirus pandemic.

On the other hand, Republican Senator Mitt Romney from Utah compared US President Donald Trump's comment on the post-election handover of power with the situation in Belarus.

Romney said in a tweeted, hours earlier, that the peaceful transfer of power is fundamental to democracy, otherwise, it is similar to Belarus.

That is, the president may not respect this constitutional guarantee, which is unreasonable and unacceptable."

Trump evaded and did not directly respond, in a press conference, to a question about whether he would guarantee a peaceful transfer of power after the presidential elections in November.

He only expressed his confidence in his victory.

In February, Romney became the first senator in American history to support the impeachment of the head of state of his own party, during the congressional consideration of the withdrawal of confidence from Trump.

Trump mocked, during a gathering of his supporters in Minnesota, the Democrats support for supporting violence in various regions.

Trump added that Americans must demonstrate against the stupidity of the Democrats and their candidate for US presidency elections next November.

He claimed that Biden's immigration plan will take jobs from Americans and lead to overcrowding of classrooms in schools and overcrowding in hospitals in the United States of America (USA).

Trump indicated that Biden wants to make Minnesota a refugee camp, as his plan includes opening the doors to immigration with an increase of 700%.
