U.S. President Donald Trump is planning to run again for 2024 presidential elections after his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, defeated him in 2020 race, New York Times reported.

The newspaper quoted sources in the White House as saying that this may happen after the states approve the election results.

Despite his refusal to admit defeat and filing lawsuits in a number of states, Trump does not have any clear plan for challenging the election results, The newspaper said.

At a meeting on Wednesday at the White House, many of his advisers have told him his chances of succeeding at changing the results of the 2020 election are thin as a reed.

Meanwhile, Trump has told allies, he plans to run in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, according to a Reuters report citing an unnamed source.
