Former US President Donald Trump has intensified threats to deploy the National Guard and immigration officers to Chicago, using provocative imagery to amplify his message.

On his Truth Social platform, he shared a satirical image referencing the film Apocalypse Now, portraying a fireball over the city as helicopters approached. The post was framed as a warning to Chicago about impending federal intervention.

The escalation came shortly after Trump signed an executive order seeking to rename the Department of Defense as the Department of War. The proposed change would still require Congressional approval, yet it reflects his intent to rebrand America’s military posture.

Trump’s recent actions have drawn widespread attention, particularly as they follow his campaign bid for the Nobel Peace Prize.

His approach combines aggressive law-and-order rhetoric, calls for mass deportations, and symbolic gestures aimed at reshaping the role of federal institutions.
