US President Donald Trump confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will be fully reopened by Friday, explaining that Iran wants to finalize the agreement and resume operations.

In remarks made on the sidelines of his meeting with leaders participating in the G7 summit, the US president indicated that Iran will not possess a nuclear weapon and that the strait will remain open without tolls even after the 60-day period. He clarified that the text of the Iranian agreement will be published in a formal session.

Trump anticipated that the second phase of the nuclear agreement with Iran would be completed quickly, adding that he would hold a press conference regarding the agreement with Iran.

Trump emphasized that the agreement concerns one thing only: preventing Iran from ever acquiring a nuclear weapon. He responded to skeptics of the memorandum of understanding, saying that the agreement is taking shape very well.
