US President Donald Trump indicated his belief that the value of the US dollar will rise significantly when people understand what the US administration is doing.

The US president said to a group of reporters, "It doesn't matter that the dollar went down this week. It will go up and be stronger than ever."

He added, "I think the markets were strong today." This coincided with a rise in major Wall Street indexes, along with weekly gains at the end of a very volatile week.

Regarding tariffs, Trump said that 10% is the minimum tariff or very close to it, "and there may be exceptions."

Trump said on Friday that the US bond market is doing well.

He added, "The market was in a bit of a downturn, but I was able to resolve that very quickly."

The US president noted that many people said that the sell-off in the bond market was what prompted him to suspend the tariffs, "but that wasn't the case."
