Former US President Donald Trump, Republican presidential candidate, described his rival in the election race, US Vice President and potential Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris, as an individual with very low IQ.

Trump said, speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 conference: "There are people with high IQs, I'm in a race against someone with a low IQ (referring to Harris)".

In his first election rally after US President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race, Trump launched an attack on Harris last Wednesday.

He said from North Carolina that Harris is "the most extreme liberal threat who will destroy our country," indicating that he will defeat her in the US elections.

He continued: "Harris does not realize the destruction she has left in America," adding that she is much worse than Biden.

Trump warned that "Harris will raise taxes," stressing that she lied about Biden's mental health.

In previous statements, Harris also fiercely attacked her Republican rival Trump, and said from inside her campaign headquarters that "Trump wants to take America back, and we want to move forward."

She addressed the accusations against Trump, saying that he was "convicted by a jury," and that she "prosecuted people like him" while working as a prosecutor.
