US President Donald Trump announced, on Friday, that he and his wife Melania have tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted.
Trump said, on Thursday, that he and first lady Melania will enter quarantine as they are waiting for the results of the tests conducted for them after Hope Hicks, a top adviser and trusted aide, tested positive for the coronavirus.
Trump said on Twitter: “Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid-19.”
“Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”
On the other hand, hours after the end of the presidential debate that sparked widespread controversy in the United States, Trump said that he had won the debate held between him and his rival Democratic candidate Joe Biden.
On Thursday morning, Donald Trump tweeted: "I won the debate big, based on compilation of polls etc. Thank you!"
