The Trump administration has unveiled a new visa program, dubbed the Trump Gold Card, aimed at granting expedited US residency to applicants who can demonstrate “substantial benefit” to the country.

According to the official program website, trumpcard.gov, applicants can obtain an accelerated visa by paying a non-refundable $15,000 application fee, followed by a $1 million donation. The donation is made after completion of a security background check and serves as proof of the applicant’s potential contribution to the United States.

The site notes that approval and visa issuance are expedited once fees are received, provided all documents and additional payments, if required, are submitted on time. Small extra fees may apply depending on individual circumstances.

Recipients may gain permanent resident status under EB-1 or EB-2 categories, subject to Department of Homeland Security assessment and visa availability. Some countries may face waiting periods of up to a year or more.

Applicants can include spouses and unmarried children under 21 in the initial application, with the same benefits, though each family member incurs a separate $15,000 fee and $1 million donation.

The program also offers a corporate option, allowing companies to sponsor employees. Each sponsored employee requires a $15,000 non-refundable application fee and a $2 million donation upon completion of the security review. Donations tied to former employees can be reused for new hires, while the program imposes a 1% annual fee and a 5% transfer fee, covering background checks and potential minor additional costs.

Applications are submitted online via the program platform. After the Department of Homeland Security initiates the review, applicants receive instructions to create an account on myUSCIS.gov to track their application and upload documents. The US State Department may also contact applicants directly as needed.

The process, from application to interview and document submission, can take several weeks once the fees are paid. The Trump Gold Card program is revocable in cases of major security or criminal risks.
