U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday threatening to impose additional tariffs on countries that continue to trade with Iran.
According to a report by the BBC, the order does not specify a definitive percentage for these tariffs but cites 25% as a potential example.
The executive order stipulates that these tariffs could be applied to goods imported into the United States from any nation that "purchases, imports, or otherwise acquires any goods or services from Iran, whether directly or indirectly."
While Trump did not comment directly on the order itself, he reaffirmed his staunch opposition to nuclear weapons in remarks made aboard Air Force One on Friday evening
