U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Sunday that Iran would have obtained a nuclear weapon within two weeks had the United States not launched its ongoing military operation.

Speaking to Fox News regarding the American strikes on Iran, Trump said: "If we hadn't done this, they [the Iranians] would have had a nuclear weapon in two weeks. And then, none of this would have been possible."

Trump added that he is "not concerned about oil prices or the impact on the Strait of Hormuz," explaining that "the United States knows how many targets remain."

The President further clarified that "48 Iranian officials were killed in the American attack."

"I’m not worried about anything. I’m just doing what’s right. And in the end, things turn out with a good result," Trump told the network.

Additionally, Trump told CNBC that "military operations in Iran are proceeding faster than the scheduled timeline."
