U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is indifferent to whether Iran returns to the negotiating table, asserting that Tehran is in a "bad and desperate state" and will never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.
Trump explained that a "blockade" would begin on Monday, noting that other nations are working to prevent Iran from selling oil.
He also emphasized that the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not persist and will be "corrected soon."
Furthermore, Trump accused Iran of lying regarding its pledges to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, claiming that its military and missile capabilities have been "almost completely depleted."
He also expressed deep disappointment with NATO, citing what he described as a failure to stand by the United States.
