U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday extended an invitation to India to join the proposed Gaza Peace Council, which aims to support stability and good governance in the Strip.
The Economic Times of India, quoted the U.S. Ambassador to New Delhi, Sergio Gor, stating that "Trump has extended the invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Gor added: "I am honored to convey President Donald Trump's invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the Peace Council, which will contribute to achieving a lasting peace for Gaza. The Council will support good governance to achieve stability and prosperity."
