US President Donald Trump has no plans to host a summit of the Group of Seven (G7), after being cancelled last June because of COVID-19 pandemic, Reuters said, according to a number of diplomatic sources.
The final decision has not been taken yet, but there is not much time left to plan a major summit before Trump's hands over power on Jan. 20 to US president-elect Joe Biden, the sources added.
The sources added that the Trump administration has not planned dates and agenda for a possible G7 summit, noting that an online meeting is still possible.
The White House declined to comment.
It is worth mentioning that, the G7 groups the United States, Britain, France, Japan, Germany, Italy, and Canada, and the European Union also attends.
