Speaking to the American network "NewsNation," in response to a question regarding whether he intends to speak again with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about continuing the ceasefire, Trump stated, "I would like to see a long extension."
On Friday, Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a three-day ceasefire beginning today, coinciding with Russia's Victory Day celebrations. The agreement also included a prisoner exchange between the two sides, involving 1,000 prisoners from each side.
