US President Donald Trump praised Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, describing him as a "great friend and leader who is making his country strong, prosperous, and very secure."
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said, "Nikol fully shares my vision for peace and prosperity for Armenia and the entire South Caucasus region. Our Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, recently visited Armenia, where he concluded several important agreements for both of our countries."
He added, "Soon, the United States and Armenia will together launch the 'Trump Road to International Peace and Prosperity' initiative, which will bring about a qualitative shift in the South Caucasus and provide leading American energy companies with access to Central Asian resources."
Trump concluded by offering his full endorsement to Nikol Pashinyan for his re-election on June 7, 2026, emphasizing that this cooperation will enhance the standing of the United States, Armenia, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia, "rising to heights never seen before, to Make (Armenia) Great Again."
