U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States risks becoming a “bankrupt third-world country” if current immigration policies continue.

Speaking about a proposed tax bill, Trump said the legislation would allocate additional funding to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), underscoring what he described as the urgent need to secure America’s borders and enforce immigration laws.

“We will not allow America to become a Third World country,” Trump declared, accusing the current administration of endangering national security and economic stability through its handling of immigration.
