U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his personal financial gains are not the result of any direct involvement in managing his investments, insisting instead that his wealth is overseen by investment funds and driven largely by broader market performance.

Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before departing for North Dakota, Trump rejected suggestions that he actively manages his financial holdings.

"I don't get involved... we have funds that manage my money," he said.

The president also attributed his reported earnings to strong equity market performance, adding: "You know why I'm making money? Because the stock market is going up, and everybody is making money."

His remarks came a day after his latest annual financial disclosure revealed more than $1.4 billion in income, much of it linked to family business ventures in the cryptocurrency sector.

According to the filing submitted to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics for 2025, Trump-related companies generated nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency platform he co-founded with his sons.

The disclosure showed that this figure included more than $520 million from digital asset sales and over $250 million from equity divestments in the company.

The findings come amid increasing scrutiny of Trump’s expanding involvement in digital asset ventures, particularly as his administration has pursued policies aimed at strengthening the cryptocurrency industry and positioning the United States as a global hub for blockchain innovation.
