U.S. President Donald Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Conley, said on Thursday the president has completed his course of therapy for the coronavirus and could resume public events as of Saturday.
“His condition is stable since returning to the White House,” Dr. Conley added.
He noted that Trump had responded “extremely well” to treatment.
Last Friday, Trump revealed that he and first lady Melania tested positive for the virus, hours after Hope Hicks, one of his closest aides tested positive for COVID-19.
He left Walter Reed Medical Center Monday and will continue treatment at the White House.
Noteworthy, Trump announced on Tuesday that he would participate in the second presidential debate set for next week, despite receiving a coronavirus diagnosis.
“I am looking forward to the debate on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 15, in Miami. It will be great!” he tweeted.
His remark was made one day after his campaign communications director, Tim Murtaugh, told Fox News that the American President intends to debate the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.
