U.S. President Donald Trump said that any agreement to end the conflict in the Middle East would not be possible unless Iran offers “unconditional surrender.”
In a post on the social media platform Truth Social on Friday, Trump appeared to rule out the option of negotiations with Tehran, stressing that any settlement would not occur without this condition.
He added: “After that, and after choosing great and acceptable leader or leaders, we, along with many of our brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction and make its economy bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.”
Trump has previously repeated on several occasions that leadership in Iran must be acceptable to the United States.
The U.S. president concluded his post with the phrase “Make Iran Great Again” (MIGA), a reference to his well-known campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”
Meantime, a group of pastors gathered in the Oval Office to pray with Donald Trump, seeking divine wisdom to guide him and asking that God fill his heart with strength and clarity during these challenging times.
