A few minutes ago, US President Donald Trump attacked his vice-president Mike Pence after the mood of chaos the American capital, Washington DC, is currently witnessing.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts," Trump tweeted.

Trump also accused Pence of not being brave enough to attempt to overturn the results of the elections.

Earlier today, Pence has issued a statement rejecting Trump's "Impossible demands."

He also stated, "It is my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not."

Moreover, "Pence said he does not believe he has the “unilateral authority” to reject electoral votes and that it would be "antithetical" to the Constitution," according to The Hill website.

In the same context, Trump posted several tweets due to the latest erupted clashes before the Congress by his supporters.

He expressed, "Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful," adding "I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!"
