Earlier in the day, Melania Trump welcomed the official White House Christmas Tree at the North Portico of the presidential residence.
Photos published by the European News Agency showed the tree being delivered and received by the First Lady before being placed in the Blue Room, where decorations for the 2026 New Year celebrations will take shape.
This year’s tree, a Concolor Fir, comes from Coulson Christmas Tree Farms in Sidney, Michigan, continuing an annual tradition in which the Blue Room becomes the focal point of holiday décor in the White House.
The First Lady will oversee the tree’s decoration as part of the broader seasonal displays that will be unveiled in the coming weeks, marking the unofficial start of holiday festivities at the presidential residence.
