Travel website Tripadvisor named the Egyptian Red Sea coastal city of Hurghada as the third best nature destination in the world.
The Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title celebrates the highest level of excellence in travel.
It is awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over 12 months.
"With over eight million listings, less than one percent attain this milestone", Tripadvisor said in a statement.
Hurghada is accredited for its resorts, art and history as well as having one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in the world, thanks to its stunning beaches and coral reefs that tourists can enjoy while visiting the city.
The website highlighted water activities such as swimming with dolphins, windsurfing, and famous spots like Giftun Islands and the Eastern Desert that travelers can enjoy in Hurghada.
Hurghada came next after Nepal's capital Kathmandu and Halong Bay island in Vietnam.
