Al Ahly player Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet is nearing a return to action in his team's upcoming match against Zed next Saturday, in the 20th round of the Egyptian Premier League. The player has recovered from a hamstring strain sustained during Al Ahly's match against JS Kabylie of Algeria in the CAF Champions League group stage.
Trezeguet is expected to participate in Al Ahly's group training sessions after the Smouha match. He has completed his rehabilitation program and begun the final stage, which involved ball drills before the Smouha game. He is expected to join the group training sessions starting next Wednesday.
Al Ahly's coach, Yce Torop, rejected the idea of freezing out Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng after he refused to renew his contract with the club and insisted on leaving when his contract expires at the end of the current season.
