Transport Min. Confirms Regularity of Services during 1st Day of Eid Al-Adha

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport confirmed the regularity of work in transport facilities and traffic during the first day of Eid Al-Adha.

The Ministry of Transport explained, in a statement Sunday, that Minister Kamel el-Wazir is monitoring around the clock the regularity of work in various transport facilities, in conjunction with the Egyptian’s celebration of the first day of Eid Al-Adha.

The Ministry added that the Minister was reassured about the regularity of the operation of railway trains on the various lines of the network, as well as the regularity of their departure times, and the presence of Authority officials at the various stations to supervise the provision of distinguished services to passengers. 

He also followed up on the regularity of the operation of trains on the three subway lines and the LRT electric train.

Regarding seaports, the Ministry of Transport indicated the regularity of navigation in the ports of Damietta, Alexandria, and the Red Sea, as well as the regularity of the movement of exports and imports.

The Minister of Transport stressed the necessity of continuing inspection campaigns by the Chairman and leaders of the General Authority for River Transport, to follow up on security and safety procedures for Nile boats to ensure the safety of citizens during Eid Al-Adha celebrations.
