Transport Min. Adjusts Metro Schedule for Ramadan

On Thursday, the Egyptian Ministry of Transport announced the adjustment of the subway schedule starting from Friday, April 24th, in conjunction with the start of the holy month of Ramadan and the new hours of curfews.

The Egyptian Co. for Metro Management and Operation revised the subway schedules to start operating from 6:00 am until 9:00 pm, according to a press release.

It is scheduled that the last metro car from Helwan station, in the first metro line, will be set at 8:15 pm  of the metro, and the last one from El-Marg, north east Cairo at 8:30 pm.

As for the second metro line, the last car will take off from Shubra Al-Khaima station at 8:35 pm, and from Al-Munib at the exact same time.

Also, the last trip for the third line is set at 8:15 pm Al-Shams club station , and  8:40 pm from Ataba.

The Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir stressed that all necessary precautions to confront the virus are taken, including the ongoing sterilization and disinfection work for trains, stations and ticket sales outlets.
