Iran's Fars News Agency said, on Monday, that a training plane crashed west of Tehran, killing its pilot and a university student.
The agency added that a "Teknam" training plane crashed in Karaj province, west of the Iranian capital, killing its pilot and a trained university student.
The agency did not give reasons for the accident, saying only that the incident is currently under investigation.
The Director General of the Accident and Incident Investigation Office of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, confirmed the tragic news.
Karaj is the fourth-largest city in Iran and is near the country’s capital Tehran.
