Continued snowfall and ice in the Netherlands on Tuesday brought all train services to a standstill and led to the cancellation of hundreds of flights.
The Dutch railway company said that no trains would be able to run until at least 9:00 AM GMT due to problems caused by snow and sub-zero temperatures, according to the French news site Zoneburst.
At Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines canceled at least 300 flights on Tuesday, as winter weather paralyzed traffic at one of Europe's most important transport hubs for the fifth consecutive day.
