Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched a digital campaign, called “Sunny Christmas”, on social media platforms to promote Egyptian tourist destinations.
The ministry, represented by the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB), launched the campaign to promote the winter season 2022 in Egypt and a number of countries, namely Britain, Germany, Ukraine, Italy and France, Russia, and the United States of America.
On his part, Amr El Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Activation, stated that the launching of this campaign coincides with the celebrations of Christmas and New Year in order to attract more tourists from outside to this country.
In addition, El Kady said there is a short film that will highlight touristic, archaeological, and natural elements; these destinations attract tourists who enjoy the bright sun, warm atmosphere, and stunning scenery.
In the same vein, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lamia Kamel noted that the campaign was launched on the most popular social media platforms including; Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and VK.
This move comes within the framework of the ministry’s interest to use modern promotional methods that can reach the largest number of people from all over the world.
Finally, Director General of Planning and Follow-up and Head of the International Campaign at the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority Suzan Mostafa affirmed that promotion through social media (photos – videos – written content) is an essential part of the ministry’s marketing mix strategy in Egypt.
