Tourism Ministry Concludes Successful Participation in UITM

The Tourism Ministry concluded its participation in the Ukraine International Travel Market (UITM), held from October 2 to 4 in Kyiv.

The Egyptian pavilion gained great admiration from its visitors who interacted with its activities and music shows.

The visitors launched a hashtag #Egyptuitm2019 in which they shared their photos on Facebook and Instagram which got many likes. The ministry's participation came within a framework of its strategy for persifying its tourist markets and open new ones.

The pavilion included interactive screens that displayed promotional content for Egypt’s hotspots like Sharm El Sheikh, Siwa, Marsa Alam, Hurghada, Luxor, and Aswan in different languages as well as virtual reality headsets which show 3D images about various destinations.

During the event, a series of meetings with major Ukrainian tour operators was held, including TPG, Join Up, TEZ, TUI, Coral Travel, Pegas, and Anex Tour.

The meeting touched on the preparations for the coming tourist season and targeting high-spending tourists by offering programs that include cultural and beach tourism in addition to inviting Ukrainian bloggers and influencers to visit Egypt in the period ahead.

The Ukrainian tourist market, one of the promising markets for Egyptian tourism, topped the list of the best 10 countries whose tourists come to Egypt as it was ranked the second after the German market.

Ukraine's tourist market became more potential, especially after operating direct flights between Cairo and Kyiv by the Ukraine International Airlines since April 2018.
