Tourism Minister, S. Korean Ambassador Discuss Ways to Boost Co-op

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Issa and South Korea Ambassador to Egypt Kim Yong-hyun discussed on Monday, ways to strengthen Joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and antiquities and pushing more incoming tourism from South Korea to Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mostafa Waziri, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mr. Amr Al-Qadi, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, Ms. Yomna Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister for Technical Affairs and Affairs of the Minister’s Office, and Khaled Tharwat, Advisor to the Minister for International Foreign Relations and General Supervisor of the General Administration of International Relations. Ministry agreements.

At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Issa welcomed the ambassador, wishing him a a good stay in Egypt and success in his duties as ambassador to his country in Cairo.

Moreover, the Egyptian minister stressed the depth of relations between both countries in many fields, including the field of tourism and antiquities, hoping that the coming period will witness more cooperation in this field.

For his part, S.Korean Ambassador affirmed that Egyptian tourist destination is a promising destination for Korean tourists, thanks to its diverse and unique tourism and archaeological potentials, pointing out to his expectations that the tourist movement from South Korea to Egypt will increase during winter season.

The meeting also touched on the participation of Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in International Tourism Fair (SITF), which will be held in South Korea next April.
