Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled Al Anani reviewed a plan for promoting tourist attractions in Egypt with officials from CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) .
During their meeting, on Tuesday, the the American network officials briefed the minister on the promotion activities the company has recently carried out in cooperation with Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA).
ETA Chairman Ahmed Youssef attended the meeting.
They also discussed the need for adapting the company's future promotion materials to be consistent with the recent developments in the tourism and archaeological sectors.
They also discussed the planned inaugurations of archaeological sites nationwide, such as Baron Palace, Djoser pyramid in the Saqqara archaeological area and the Grand Egyptian Museum, due to open in the first quarter of 2020.
Earlier in May, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities launched a partnership with CNNIC to conduct a global tourism campaign using state-of-the-art technologies to showcase a contemporary Egypt through an innovative mix of TV, digital and social media platforms.
