The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, paid a visit to the Giza Pyramids area to assess the latest developments in the project aimed at enhancing the services in the region.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism, this project is part of a cooperation protocol between the Supreme Council of Antiquities and Orascom Pyramids Company for Entertainment Projects.
During his tour, the minister inspected the gates of the Visitor Center on Fayoum Road, which will serve as the main entrance to the archaeological area.
He was briefed on the entry process through these gates, which is set to begin trial operation in the second quarter of 2024. This move aims to enhance the tourist experience in the region and provide visitors with the distinguished service they deserve, the statment noted.
The entry routes from these gates have been finalized and approved in principle, and the relevant authorities are coordinating to make this project successful.
