Danish coach Jess Torup, manager of Al Ahly, has welcomed the departure of Mohamed Sherif and Mostafa El-Ash during the upcoming winter transfer window, as their services are no longer required.

Torup believes that Sherif and El-Ash have exhausted their opportunities to prove their worth at Al Ahly and have failed to capitalize on them. He is dissatisfied with their performance and has given the Al Ahly management the green light for their departure, whether on a permanent transfer or loan.

Torup is not opposed to selling the duo permanently, as he has no desire to bring them back in the future. He has been unable to convince him of their technical and physical abilities and prefers to bring in new players with better potential and technical skill.

Al Ahly officials have welcomed the departure of Ahmed Nabil Kouka to the Portuguese league after he received an offer from Portuguese club Alverca during the January transfer window. The Portuguese club is keen to buy out the remaining six months of his contract with the Red Devils, which expires at the end of the current season.
