Top Journalists agree on success of WYF2018

CAIRO, Nov. 10 (SEE)- The just concluded WYF2018 has resulted in success, according to some famous journalists. “Believing in youth as the key motor of leading the future is clear,” said Khaled Mery, editor-in-chief of national newspaper Al-Akhbar.

Mery added that the World Youth Forum 2018 had given a chance to youth to directly communicate with state leaders and discuss freely and frankly various issues.

“WYF is an unrepeatable opportunity worldwide that gives a chance for youth to reach decision makers. In addition, it’s deems as a chance to train and rehabilitate youth with brilliant and bold ideas,” Mery noted during an interview with anchorwoman Rania Hashem on ONE TV on Wednesday.

He manifested that “watching youth next to President Abdel Fatah El Sisi and other state leading figures reflects the Egyptian belief in youth.”

WYF: Tourism Return, Weekly meetings with journalists

“The second edition of WYF, held in Sharm el-Sheikh, was better than the first edition held in 2017,” said Journalists’ Syndicate Chairman Abdel Mohsen Salama.

In statements to Sada El-Balad channel on Tuesday, Salama praised discussion sessions held at the sideline of the WYF including sessions of “World Leaders’ Role in Achieving Peace,” and “Africa We Want.”

Salama expected that WYF “will definitely contribute in boosting Egyptian tourism.”

Head of State Information Service (SIS) Diaa Rashwan confirmed arranging a weekly meeting between Egyptian and foreign correspondents and state officials and ministers in coordination with the Cabinet and the presidential press office.
