CAIRO, Dec.28 (SEE)- 2018 was a big year for Superhero movie fans, as they got the pleasure to witness dozens of superhero movie Genres most notably from Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe became the first film franchise to gross more than $14 billion with the release of Black Panther,and the first franchise to release five billion-dollar-grossing films.

Two months later, the MCU became the first film franchise to gross more than $15 billion and $16 billion with the release of Avengers: Infinity War, which became the sixth billion-dollar-grossing film in the franchise, and also the first film in the franchise to earn $2 billion; and the MCU also became the first film franchise with two billion-dollar-grossing films released in the same year (with Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War). Two months after that, the MCU became the first film franchise to gross over $17 billion with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

This year also featured the continuation of over great and overly successful sequels, Such as the return of the iconic Mission Impossible movie series, in addition to Incredibles 2 finally debuting 12 years after it's predecessor. And for magic movie fans, Fantastic Beasts produced a sequel to the first movie. Here is a list of the most financially successful movies of 2018.
