Sir Tony Blair has stated that he is "honored" to be part of Donald Trump’s "Peace Council" for Gaza, which is tasked with overseeing the reconstruction of the Strip and the transition to a new administration, according to the British newspaper " The Independent".
"I thank President Trump for his leadership in establishing the Peace Council, and I am honored to be appointed to its Executive Board. It is a pleasure to work with Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and their distinguished team. I look forward to working with them and my other colleagues in line with the President’s vision to promote peace and prosperity," Blair said in a statement.
He added that President Trump’s 20-point plan for Gaza is an "extraordinary achievement", noting that its implementation would require "significant commitment and diligent work."
