Tips for Shiny, Moisturized Hair for Spring

Many women suffer from hair problems such as dandruff, dryness, and lack of shine, especially during the seasonal shifts. Here are a few tips to help you have healthier hair:

To avoid and treat dandruff

During seasonal changes, the skin and the scalp could be dry and itchy. Brushing can scratch the dry scalp, which leads to dry dandruff that can be embarrassing.

To solve such a problem, you can add a tablespoon of white vinegar to your hair rinse water, and you can also use an anti-dandruff shampoo, in addition to avoiding scratching your scalp.

If you wear a headscarf, make sure to let your hair down at home instead of tying it in a bun or ponytail. This allows the airflow to the hair follicles and helps maintain scalp health.

To avoid dry hair

We often neglect doing a quick oil treatment with natural oils like olive oil, coconut oil, clove oil, or rosemary oil. This step is essential and is a common habit among people known for having beautiful hair, like in India, Thailand, and Lebanon.

Simply apply an amount of oil, any kind you have, to your scalp and hair. Leave it in for a minimum of 15 minutes and up to overnight. Then wash your hair thoroughly the next day. This will nourish, moisturize, and add shine to your hair.

To stimulate the hair follicles, massage your scalp in circular motions for 5 minutes. Wrap your hair in a warm towel and leave the oil in for as long as you can.

Another easy method is to apply oil, tie your hair into multiple buns, and then wash as usual with shampoo.

Make sure not to wear your hijab over wet hair to keep it healthy and vibrant.
