The return of the Met Gala, one of Hollywood’s biggest star-studded events of the year, is cause for celebration.
This year’s event will be a party in multiple parts with the overriding theme will be “Americana”, which will be explored in two exhibits.
The Met Gala will be a smaller, more intimate celebration for the opening of the Costume Institute’s next exhibition, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”, which opens on September 18.
It will devel into the modern vocabulary of American style and emphasizing the expressive qualities of dress and deeper associations with issues of equity, persity, and inclusion.

The second “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” opens on May 5, 2022, in the American Wing period rooms and will present narratives that explore the development of American fashion as they relate to the complex and layered histories of those spaces.
Parts one and two will close on September 5, 2022.

Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet will co-host her annual Costume Institute benefit.
Chalamet will join poet Amanda Gorman and Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) chairman Tom Ford for the sold-out black-tie fundraiser themed "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion".
It will also feature Billie Eilish, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman serving as co-chairs, while Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour comprise the evening’s honorary chairs.
Tthe invite-only event solo tickets reportedly costing $30,000 and tables going for $275,000 has already sold out.
