Ethiopian forces have been deployed on the border with Sudan, amid preparations for a "final military campaign" in the Tigray region.
The mobilization of federal forces at the border between the two countries has drastically reduced the flow of refugees fleeing the fighting in the region.
A BBC correspondent in Sudan said that he saw at least ten soldiers stationed on the hills across the river that separates the two countries.
The refugees said that those soldiers are belonging to the Ethiopian federal forces who had prevented people from crossing into Sudan.
