An Israeli airstrike on the Ghobeiri area in Beirut's southern suburbs on Sunday resulted in three deaths and 15 injuries, according to the Lebanese Civil Defense.
The strike also caused extensive damage to homes and shops, according to Lebanon's National News Agency.
Since the airstrike targeted the Ghobeiri area in Beirut's southern suburbs, Lebanese Civil Defense teams have been conducting search and rescue operations and clearing debris at the site.
They were able to recover the bodies of three martyrs from under the rubble, and the injured were transported to a hospital for treatment, according to a statement from the Media and Public Relations Department of the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate.
The Directorate affirms its continued full readiness to continue response operations and take all necessary measures.
