The "Threads" application, launched by Meta, succeeded in attracting more than 30 million subscribers in less than 18 hours.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, launched the Threads app, which was described as a competitor to Twitter.
However, the application's registration witnessed more than 30 million people register in its first 18 hours, as the Facebook founder aims to obtain a billion people, while Elon Musk claimed that he publishes "Fake happiness" like Instagram.
On the other hand, the "Twitter" company, owned by Elon Musk, threatened to take legal action against the "Meta" company owned by Mark Zuckerberg, under whose umbrella the Facebook and Instagram platforms fall, after the latter announced the launch of a new platform called "Threads," according to Sky News.
Semaphore website quoted the news from a letter sent by Twitter's lawyer, Alex Spiro, to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
"Twitter intends to vigorously enforce its intellectual property rights and demands that Meta take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other highly confidential information," Spiro wrote in the letter.
