Thomas Friedman, a world-famed American journalist and analyst warned in an interview with the American television channel "CNN" that his country might be on the verge of a second civil war in modern history.

He based his morbid analysis on the ambiguity of the president's position on the handover of power peacefully, which has raised concerns that he will not accept the results of the upcoming presidential elections on the third of November 3rd.

Trump had said that if he is defeated by his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, he will not recognize results of the presidential elections.

Consequently, this could lead to his failure to hand over power to the winner and cause a serious political crisis for the country that could lead to armed chaos.

He warned that started his career as a journalist covering the second civil war in the history of Lebanon, and he is now terrified to discover that he is about ending his career as a journalist covering the second possible civil war in American history."

Faced with the press of the channel's journalist, does Thomas Friedman actually believe what he says?

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday, that he will not lose the next presidential election, unless the Democrats falsify the results of the vote by mail.

In a speech he delivered to a gathering of his supporters in Virginia, Trump said: We will not lose the elections unless they cheat.

We cannot allow them to do so.

The talk is about the fate of our country, because these people will destroy our country.

It is fraud and they know that.

The media know perfectly well what is going to happen.

The Democrats know that better than others. But we cannot allow them to do so. If you notice something like this, you should inform it immediately."

And the US President added, "We very much want the transition to be friendly, we do not want them to deceive us, and we do not want to be fools and say: Let us hand over the ruling to them, and we know that they forged thousands of ballot papers. This is what we will never tolerate."

Trump announced a "friendly" transfer of power after the November elections, expressing confidence that he will win them.

Earlier, US President acknowledged that the outcome of the upcoming elections in November would be determined by the US Supreme Court only.

In recent months, Trump has repeatedly criticized the method of mail voting, which Democrats are proposing to use widely in the upcoming elections due to the pandemic.

The American President expressed his conviction that this method does not allow for accurate and rapid sorting of the results of the vote.

He pointed out that it means in the first place the risk of fraud and falsification of ballot papers on a large scale, as well as voting dead souls and people who are not entitled to participate in the elections.

He noted also voting by mail makes the upcoming elections vulnerable to foreign interference.

But Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden likened President Donald Trump to the famous Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels during the era of Adolf Hitler.

Speaking to "MSNBC", Biden said that Trump tried to spread the wrong idea of him stating that he is "socialist."

He accused Trump of repeating this idea with the aim of influencing undecided voters.

He added, "Trump is a bit like Goebbels.

He repeats a lie for as long as possible, and keeps repeating and repeating it until it becomes public information."

Goebbels was a German Nazi politician and propaganda minister in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945.

He committed suicide along with Nazi leader in his fortifies bunker under Berlin at the end of WWII.

He was one of Hitler's closest and most dedicated associates, and was known for his public speaking skills and the phrase "Don't stop lying until people believe you."
