Thomas Cook intends to open two new hotels in Egypt's El Gouna this year - a Cook’s Club and a Casa Cook.

Cook's Club, set to be opened in August, is designed for a new generation of travelers who seek fun, energetic holidays in hotels which have casual but great quality dining, and a matching bar, surrounded by harmonious people and accompanied by DJs.

It will be Thomas Cook's sixth property to open this year following openings in Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, and Turkey.

With a lagoon front location, the 144-room hotel will have stylish rooms and a central pool hub area, all at an affordable price. It has twin and double rooms.

The hotel's cantina will bring the world’s street food to the beach such as the Asian cuisine and vegan dishes.

While Casa Cook El Gouna, set to open in October, is the first Casa Cook to open in Egypt.

With Arabic design and interior and surrounded by palm trees, the 100-room hotel aims at families where children can enjoy their holiday just as much as their parents do.

The rooms, ranging from standard rooms to villas, maintain the Casa Cook's world-class interior design. Each room has a private terrace, with some boasting extensive sunset views.

The British travel company chief of tour operating Will Waggott said: "Egypt is proving really popular among our Thomas Cook Group customers with bookings up 15% for Summer 2019 and 57% for Winter 2019/20, compared to last year."

"Our new Cook’s Club and Casa Cook will be great additions to our holiday offering and will appeal to golfers and water sports enthusiasts, as well as those looking for some winter sun at a great price," Waggott added.
