There is nothing better than having a refreshingly cold drinks on a hot summer day and so, here are 5 healthy and refreshing summer drink recipes:
1. Strawberry Lemonade
Add 2 cups of water, ¼ cup of honey, the juice of 7 lemons and 4 cups of chopped strawberries to a blender. Blend on high speed before straining the seeds.
Add 3-4 cups of sparkling water to the mixture and stir until well combined. Serve over some ice and garnish with some fresh strawberries and lemon slices.
2. Cherry Mint Limeade Soda
Add 1 cup of pitted cherries, the juice of ½ a lime, 3 mint leaves, 1 tbsp of honey and ½ a cup of water to a blender and blend till smooth.
Then pour some of the cherry mixture over a glass of diet lemon-lime soda with ice, Mix and Enjoy!!
3. Watermelon Lemonade
Add 5 cups of cubed watermelon, ⅓ cup of lemon juice to a blender before adding 4 cups of water and 3 tbsp of honey. Blend again until smooth.
Chill for at least an hour before serving over ice.
4. Peach Ginger Iced Tea
Add 2 tbsp of very finely grated ginger to 4 cups of steeped green tea. Then add 2 ripe peaches peeled and pureed in a blender and 2 tbsp of honey to the tea mixture.
Stir everything together and serve it over some ice.
5. Earl Grey Lemonade
Add 4 Earl Grey teabags to 4 cups of boiling water and let them steep for 4-5 minutes before stirring in 3 tbsp of honey.
Allow the mixture to cool down before stirring in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Serve it over ice and garnish with lemon slices.
