A Knife-wielding Yemeni stabbed Monday evening three performers during a theatre preformace that was part of a two-month entertainment festival, in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
The attack is the first since the kingdom began easing decades-old restrictions on entertainment.
Saudi local press has reported that the assailant was arrested and that there has been no motive for the attack.
Footage of the attack was circulated on social media, which shows a man storming on stage at the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Park Theater in the al-Malaz district, knocking people to the ground.
Saudi police revealed that two men and a woman were stabbed but are in a stable condition.
They also revealed that the man was a 33-year-old Yemeni expatriate and used a knife used in his his assault, which was seized.

The Riyadh Season is a three-month entertainment event that had attracted over five million visitors since its launch.
It will run from October 15 to December 15 featuring a wide range of artistic, sporting and cultural events, including theater performances, concerts, and fashion shows.
The season is one of the Saudi Seasons's launched to transform the country into one of the world’s most important tourist and entertainment destinations that supports Saudi Vision 2030.
Many renowned artists are highlighting the season including, Egyptian singer Amr Diab, K-pop boyband BTS, American rapper French Montana, Nancy Ajram, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Gwen Stefani, Nicole Scherzinger, Akon, Gipsy Kings by Andre Reyes, and DJ Martin Solveig.
BTS performance comes as part of the festival season under their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour.
It was the band's first International band to hold a solo stadium concert in Saudi Arabia.
Their most recent album, “Love Yourself: Answer,” was the bestselling album on South Korea’s Gaon Chart with over two million copies sold worldwide.
BTS fans have been rapidly expanding in the Middle East in the past years.
